CHANGING WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BLIND IN THE NATION’S CAPITOL!

NFB DC Programs

The National Federation of the Blind of DC knows that being blind does not mean losing sight of life! We believe that a real problem of blindness is not the loss of eyesight. A real problem is the misunderstanding and the lack of information. We know that if a blind person has proper training and opportunity, blindness can be reduced to just a physical nuisance. The visually impaired can be just as successful pursuing their endeavors and live independently the same as their sighted peers. We are not just saying it, we are living it!
